Becoming a Moderator

To apply to become a moderator you need at least 10 approved postbox submissions and at least 5 approved corrections. These show that you understand the guidelines and contribute quality data. Pending or rejected submissions do not count.

Once you meet the requirements, go to Moderator application. You will be asked to explain your interest in helping moderate postbox submissions. Submit the form; your application is then reviewed by the site owner.

If your application is approved, you gain moderator access. You can use the Moderator dashboard to review pending postboxes, corrections, and photos. You earn moderator points for each review; your moderator level determines how many approvals are needed to publish a postbox (e.g. level 5+ can approve alone). Senior and Lead moderators (level 4+) can merge duplicate postboxes. See Scoring & Ranks for full details on moderator levels and points.
