Corporation Street, Manchester
Notes
A Queen Victoria postbox on Corporation Street, Manchester. On the site of an IRA bomb blast in 1996 which caused extensive damage and injured over 200 people. The box survived pretty much unscathed. It has a plaque which reads 'This postbox remained standing almost undamaged on June 15th 1996 when this area was devastated by a bomb. The box was removed during the rebuilding of the city centre and was returned to its original site on November 22nd 1999'.
